三德

The three virtues or powers, of which three groups are given below.

(1) (a) [lang id =1028]法身德 The virtue or potency of the Buddha's eternal, spiritual body, the (sa) dharmakāya; (b) [lang id =1028]般若德 of his (sa) prājñā, or wisdom, knowing all things in their reality; (c) [lang id =1028]解脫德 of his freedom from all bonds and his sovereign Iiberty. Each of these has the four qualities of [lang id =1028]常, [lang id =1028]樂我, [lang id =1028]淨eternity, joy, personality, and purity; v. [lang id =1028]漫涅槃經

(2) (a) [lang id =1028]智德 The potency of his perfect knowledge; (b) [lang id =1028]斷德　of his cutting off all illusion and perfecting of supreme nirvāṇa; the above two are [lang id =1028]自利 for his own advantage; (c) [lang id =1028]恩德　of his universal grace and salvation, which [lang id =1028]利他 bestows the benefits he has acquired on others.

(3) (a) [lang id =1028]因圓德 The perfection of his causative or karmic works during his three great kalpas of preparation; (b) [lang id =1028]果圓德 the perfection of the fruit, or results in his own character and wisdom; (c) [lang id =1028]恩圓德 the perfection of his grace in the salvation of others.

◆﹝出華嚴經疏﹞ 〔一、 恩德〕， 謂如來乘大願力， 救護眾生， 猶如赤子， 是為恩德。 〔二、 斷德〕， 斷德亦名解脫。 謂如來斷除一切煩惱惑業， 淨盡無餘， 是為斷德。 〔三、 智德〕， 智即智慧。 謂如來以平等智慧， 照了一切諸法， 圓融無礙， 是為智德。 ◆﹝出金光明經玄義﹞ 法身、 般若、 解脫是為三， 常樂我淨是為德。 （常即不遷不變， 樂即安隱寂滅， 我即自在無礙， 淨即離垢無染。 佛以此四者為德也。 ） 〔一、 法身德〕， 法即軌法， 謂諸佛由軌法而得成佛， 故名法身。 此之法身， 在諸佛不增， 在眾生不減。 眾生迷之而成顛倒， 諸佛悟之而得自在。 迷悟雖殊， 體性恒一， 具足常樂我淨， 是名法身德。 〔二、 般若德〕， 梵語般若， 華言智慧。 謂佛究竟始覺之智， 而能覺了諸法不生不滅， 清淨無相， 平等無二， 不增不減， 具足常樂我淨， 是名般若德。 〔三、 解脫德〕， 不繫名解， 自在名脫。 謂佛永離一切業累之縛， 得大自在， 具足常樂我淨， 是名解脫德。

１．法身德、 般若德、 解脫德。 法身德是佛常住不滅的法性身無不周； 般若德是佛的智慧無量無邊； 解脫德是佛所證得的最勝妙法， 能夠化度一切眾生而自在無礙。 ２．智德、 恩德、 斷德。 智德是佛的智慧深廣， 無所不知， 無所不見， 號稱一切智人； 恩德是佛的慈悲廣大， 誓度一切眾生， 無黨無偏， 三界六道眾生， 有緣莫不蒙度； 斷德是佛將一切的煩惱斷除， 清淨無為， 解脫自在。
